Infinity

This is the Mandelbrot set: every point c where repeating z → z² + c, starting from zero, never runs off to infinity. Its edge never stops having detail, however far you zoom.

A many-core server computes every point you see on demand, in 64-bit numbers. It caches the results, then sends the raw values. Your device colours them on its graphics chip, so palettes and the flowing colour cost nothing.

That lets you zoom about 4 trillion times. Explorers that compute on a phone's graphics chip run out of precision near 100,000×.

Whenever you stop, Infinity says how close you've been to that spot before, and outlines the views you've already seen. Your stops stay in this browser and are never sent anywhere. (0 stops so far.)
